Family Day at the Museum
Welcome to the place where Birgit’s dream began – and step into the playful world of opera!
Throughout the day, children can enjoy musical games, an opera quiz, creative play areas and an exciting treasure hunt, following clues to hidden challenges along the way.
Here, they can also design their own opera masks, try on costumes, enjoy a picnic in the garden, and discover the story of Birgit’s life – all in the beautiful surroundings where she herself once played as a child.
At 3 p.m., Lilla Holländaren (The Little Dutchman) will be performed – an interactive children’s show featuring music from Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman. The performance is presented by three opera singers and a pianist. Read more about The Little Dutchman here.
Adults accompanying children receive a 50% discount on the regular admission price to the museum and the exhibition ‘A Wave of Success’.
