By public transport
It is possible to travel by public transport all the way to Birgit Nilsson Museum.
Bus from Båstad
Line 523 operates the section Båstad bus station-Torekov bus station, via Svenstad. The stop is located along road 115 and is called “Birgit Nilsson Museum”, located about 200 m. From the museum.
If you travel by Öresundståg or Pågatåg, you can get off at Båstad station.
From the train station you can take line 501 the short distance to Båstad bus station, in central Båstad.
From there you travel on to the museum with bus line 523.
Alternative with Pågatåg
If you travel by Pågatåg there is also the opportunity to get off in Förslöv.
Further from Förslöv is Line 505, which stops a couple of kilometers from the museum. This travel option thus means a shorter walk.
The stop that you in this case should get off at is called “V Karup Affären”.
From there you enter the road Karpa Gada (in the direction of Boarp) and continue approx. 600 meters. Then turn left onto Birgit Nilsson’s road.
Follow Birgit Nilsson’s road for a couple of kilometers until you have almost reached the end of the road. Birgit Nilsson Museum is the last farm on the right side of Birgit Nilsson’s road.

Keep in mind that there can be a lot of traffic in and around Båstad during the summer, something that can make it take longer than expected to get on the roads.
The E6 from the north:
Exit 39, Östra Karup. Follow road 115 through Båstad towards Torekov. Pass Boarp’s trading village and drive another 2 km along road 115. Then, turn left onto Birgit Nilsson’s road. 200 meters into the road is the museum. There is a large, free car park.
The E6 from the south:
Exit 37, Hjärnarp. Follow road 105 signposted Förslöv / Torekov. Continue along road 105 through Grevie and Västra Karup until Hov and road 115. Turn right towards Båstad and drive 2 km along road 115. After that, turn right onto Birgit Nilsson’s road. 200 meters into the road is the museum. There is a large, free car park.
Note! Birgit Nilsson’s road is a narrow and curvy road, with limited opportunity for two vehicles to meet. We advise both car-borne visitors and buses to drive this road as a thoroughfare between the museum and Västra Karup. On the other hand, the accessibility is good from road 115 and up to the museum.
