Opera singer and actor Richard Hamrin, together with pianist Eric Skarby, takes the audience on a personal journey through the life and music of this magnificent and controversial prima donna.

‘Both Zarah Leander and Birgit Nilsson are two unique, powerful and magnificent artists, each a prima donna assoluta in the most beautiful sense of the word. It feels fantastic to be a guest at the Birgit Nilsson Museum this summer, with a tribute concert to La Leander,’ says Richard Hamrin.

Richard Hamrin
was educated at the Opera College in Stockholm and had his breakthrough in 2020/21 with a one-man show about Klaus Nomi at the Royal Swedish Opera. Since then he has performed on most of the country’s operatic stages, most recently at Malmö Opera in productions of La Bohème and the musical Chicago.

Eric Skarby
is a trained concert pianist who performs in Sweden, Norway, and Finland. He is actively involved in a wide range of musical genres—from Royal Swedish Opera productions to Mamma Mia—and works both as a performer and conductor.
