Opera on the Menu

"Opera on the Menu" is an exclusive lunch, where opera and gastronomy come together in an intimate and vibrant setting. The event takes place at Kongressen at Hotel Skansen in Båstad, with sweeping views across the Laholm Bay. A three-course menu created by chef Tobias Millqvist, inspired by Birgit Nilsson's own recipes and local seasonal ingredients, is presented personally by the chef and served at a leisurely pace. Opera singers also participate, performing well-known arias from the classical opera repertoire between courses.

Tobias Millqvist

is a renowned chef with over 20 years of experience in Swedish gastronomy. Tobias has twice been a finalist in Chef of the Year and gained valuable international experience working in France, Luxembourg, and New York. His cooking is characterised by solid craftsmanship, seasonal ingredients and strong local roots.

Opera soloists will be announced in the Spring.
