At the age of 14, August Follin makes his debut as an opera singer. Specifically as the shepherd boy in Tosca in Concert, Giacomo Puccini's popular opera as an outdoor performance on the large meadow at the Birgit Nilsson Museum in Svenstad. Birthday, stipendium and the flag at the top! Birgit's birthday (105 years) was celebrated with municipal flag day! At 10:00 the flag was raised as usual together with invited guests. This year's Birgit Nilsson Stipendium holder was announced at 11 at the museum and it went to the mezzo-soprano Ida Ränzlöv who, on August 11, receives SEK 200,000 at a concert in Västra Karup's church as part of the celebration of the Birgit Nilsson days.
