Birthday, Stipendium and flag raising! Birgit's birthday (106 years old) was celebrated with municipal flag day! At 10:00 the flag was raised as usual together with invited guests and the public. This year's Birgit Nilsson Stipendium holder was announced at 11 at the museum and it went to the soprano Matilda Sterby who, as on August 9, receives SEK 250,000 at a recital in Västra Karup's church as part of the celebration of the Birgit Nilsson days.
