For almost 15 years, he accompanied Birgit on her world tours, including Västra Karup’s church. He also collaborated with many of Sweden’s foremost opera singers. As a piano soloist, he has performed in a variety of contexts, including some 30 different recordings. 

After the concert in Västra Karup’s church in 1979, Birgit thanked him with a bottle filled with sand. ”Here in Bjäre it used to be said that if you got sand in your shoes in one place, it meant that you should return there. So it was with us young people in Bjäre. We cycled to dance in Torekov. There you always got sand in your shoes – and we were happy to return”, Birgit said.
