The seven participants in this year’s Birgit Nilsson Master Class have presented themselves at a well-attended Closing Concert at Ravinen Kulturhus in Norrviken. Prior to this, there had been a few days of intensive teaching, also in front of an audience. With nature as the theme throughout, the inspiring course was led – with the beautiful Bjäre peninsula as a backdrop – by soprano Camilla Tilling together with pianists Annika Bjelk and Jacob Lidåkra. New for this year was scenic design under the direction of director Katarina Sörenson. The Birgit Nilsson Master Class is arranged by the Birgit Nilsson Society, with chairman Claes Remminger at the helm, in collaboration with the Birgit Nilsson Foundation and Birgit Nilsson Museum.
