Giuseppe Verdi’s grand opera Aida, a recital by the 2025 Stipendium recipient at Västra Karup Church, a wide ranging programme of activities, including an exhibition on the theme of Birgit Nilsson and the local region at the Birgit Nilsson Museum and an open masterclass in the Birgit Nilsson Hall at the Ravinen Cultural Centre. All this will be taking place during the Birgit Nilsson Festival from 3-9 August 2025!

Finale with opera at the Tennis Stadium in Båstad
Giuseppe Verdi’s grand opera Aida will be the finale of this summer’s Birgit Nilsson Festival. Top Swedish and international singers will perform together with choirs from across Skåne and the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra – all under the direction of maestro Pier Giorgio Morandi. The stage direction will be by director Staffan Valdemar Holm. Additionally, dancers will participate with choreography by Joakim Stephenson. Tennis Stadium in Båstad on 9 August 2025.
